Who are we?

Marcelo Frydman is recognized internationally as Geomechanics Advisor. Dr. Frydman has over 35 years in the petroleum industry, 10 years in unconventional. He has worked on a variety of geomechanics studies concerning wellbore stability, pore-pressure models, unconventional reservoirs, sand management, fractured reservoir characterization, hydraulic fracturing modeling, reservoir geomechanics and time-lapse seismic imaging. Dr. Frydman has published more than 100 papers and hold several patents. He has received different awards, including the SPE-Brazil Petroleum Engineer 2008, SLB Leading the Way Award 2009 and 2006 SLB-DCS President Award. Dr. Frydman worked for Phoenix Global Resources, between 2021 and 2024, as the Geomechanics Advisor in Argentina. Before joining Phoenix, Marcelo worked for 20 years at Schlumberger, held several positions, and was responsible for the development of the geomechanics group in Latin America. Before joining Schlumberger, Marcelo worked for 10 years at the Group of Petroleum Engineering and Technology at Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) on Brazilian and international research projects.
